Meet our Staff!
Cecile Riker, Executive Director
Cecile's Favorite Healthy Food: Roasted broccoli
Cecile's Favorite Unhealthy Food: Chocolate Molton-Lava Cake (or anything else chocolate)
As a member of the original Pack to Plate Leadership Team, Cecile has worked with the organization in a number of different roles. She is excited to lead the organization over the next year and put into practice what she has learned so far about nonprofit management. As someone who was an extremely picky eater in her younger years, Cecile understands both the challenges and the importance of convincing children (and adults) that they should love their fruits and vegetables.
Jessie Bruno, Grant Development Captain
Jessie's Favorite Healthy Food: Hummus and veggies
Jessie's Favorite Not-so-Healthy Food: French fries with lots of ketchup
Jessie joined Pack to Plate because she is eager to engage the community and children on the importance of healthy eating. She is also passionate about making it easier for everyone to obtain the fresh fruits and vegetables that they need. Jessie is excited to work with such a hardworking team!
Kerri Andre, Volunteer Captain
Kerri's Favorite Healthy Food: Fruit kebobs! With watermelon, cantaloupe, frozen grapes, pineapple, and strawberries.
Kerri's Favorite Not-so-Healthy Food: Chocolate cake
Kerri wanted to become involved with Pack-to-Plate because it was something that was really important to her before coming to UGA. Food security and food literacy affects so many people in the United States today, so she believes that working to combat issues that prohibit food security is an important cause. Kerri knows that impacting and improving eating habits of children in the community will help to provide them with healthy habits and a healthier future.
James McGee, Director of Finance, Curriculum Development Captain
James' Favorite Healthy Food: Pineapple
James' Favorite Not-so-Healthy Food: Buffalo wings
James believes in the mission of Pack to Plate; that every child should have access to healthy and nutritious food. He also believes they should be aware of why they should be eating that food. He knows trying to convince a child of the benefits of eating a carrot over pizza is a difficult task, but the challenge will be fun and rewarding.
